Hi everyone. Cora did well in surgery. Looks like she didn't have any issues with the bowel itself, rather she had a developing infection outside the bowel that may have caused a restriction. She is being treated for sepsis and hopefully antibiotics will run their course and do their work. She is getting a blood transfusion this morning and at this point they are trying to manage her pain and fluid levels. All in all, this is a better scenario than if the bowel were kinked or had some other issue -- the surgeon actually said the bowel looked good when he went in. So hopefully a more rapid recovery this time if all goes well. We can hardly believe we're back here at the hospital again, as things have been going so well and Cora had been feeling great. We were at church when she started crying a very pained cry, followed by grunting -- which immediately told me it was serious. Thanks as always for all of your prayers and well wishes. We'll keep you posted.
