Groggy

Not a whole lot of sleep was had last night...but Cora was eventually weaned off her Fentanyl (pain med). She had to have her NG tube put back in overnight because she was spitting up bile, but she hadn't spit up anything more by morning. She started receiving a tiny (2ml per hour) bit of breastmilk through her NG tube, which she tolerated well. She's down to only a couple IV lines, the NG tube, and a little oxygen, so I was able to hold her for a couple of hours today while she slept peacefully in my arms (until they woke her up taking her vital signs...sigh...which started her crying, eventually spitting up and getting a dose of Morphine...double sigh). She's slept well most of today and so far this evening...all in all a good day. Hope the rest of the night goes well or else it will be more afternoon naps for mom and dad again tomorrow.

The pediatric GI specialist wants me to go off dairy, soy, wheat and eggs. Awesome.

Glad to hear things are more or less ok! Let me know if there's anything we can do to help out. See you soon.
